Admitted Student Day, Take Two!
Last Saturday’s Admitted Student Day was awesome. The energy and enthusiasm on campus was completely contagious, even for admissions officers who have been here for years — there’s nothing like meeting students in person after reading their applications, talking with them over the phone, and emailing for months on end. It’s also wonderful to see students who we have already met and who have been very present, either on campus or on the road, and welcome them back to St. Olaf. Some students have deposited and will be sporting their “I’m an Ole!” buttons; many are on the brink of that final college decision.
Below, a very brief collection of photos from the day:

Friendly admissions students welcome visitors (and their future Ole friends!) at the registration table.

Vice President and Dean of Enrollment Michael Kyle (also an Ole!) gives his insightful and entertaining presentation on the incoming class and the culture of St. Olaf.

Music faculty member and conductor of the Viking Chorus and St. Olaf Chapel Choir, Chris Aspaas, chats with some musical students after the fine arts faculty dialogue.
The day was great last weekend, and we are SO excited for another equally as fantastic day tomorrow. Fickle Minnesota weather being what it is, we can’t promise a balmy 65 degrees (as it has been over the past few weeks), but we can guarantee a fun and informative day on campus.
As you prepare to make your trip to Northfield, please remember to bring:
1. Warm clothing (umbrella, jacket, warm shoes).
2. Your camera, to snap some photos for the Class of 2015 Facebook fan page’s Admitted Student Day Photo Contest.
3. Your enthusiasm and willingness to squeeze every bit of information out of the day; if you’re undecided, attending Admitted Student Day will be hugely beneficial in making that final choice.
Glance over the day’s schedule to see what information sessions and events you’ll want to attend. There will be a Co-Curricular Fair, seminars on different academic areas of interest, opportunities to hear perspectives from current Oles, free signature St. Olaf Cookies as you leave… and, much more.
We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
